AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND THE CHIMAYO YOUTH CONSERVATION CORPS' DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION AND HARM REDUCTION PROGRAM SERVICES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for the expansion of the Chimayo youth conservation corps to provide drug abuse prevention and harm reduction program services to youth twelve to twenty-one years of age in the Chimayo area in Rio Arriba and Santa Fe counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
