AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NEXT GENERATION FUND.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. TRANSFER OF FUNDS.--On the effective date of this act, six million dollars ($6,000,000) is transferred from the general fund to the next generation fund to promote positive child and youth development and prevent the abuse and neglect of children pursuant to the Children's Trust Fund Act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert.
