AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE FOR TWO RETIRED POLICE OFFICERS TO PATROL AND ASSIST IN CRIME PREVENTION MEASURES IN THE SANTA FE PUBLIC SCHOOLS. 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to provide salaries and benefits for two retired police officers to patrol and assist in crime prevention measures in the Santa Fe public schools. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
