AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT FOR SERVICES THAT REMOVE BARRIERS TO ARTISAN ENTERPRISE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to contract for services in underserved community areas in the state to conduct workshops, cultivate regional wholesale markets and provide access to a global market for the removal of barriers to artisan enterprise. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
