AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY FOR BILINGUAL EDUCATION MATERIAL.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 and subsequent fiscal years to prepare, compile and distribute bilingual education materials statewide for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade and for production of a monthly periodical, digitalization of materials and production of a weekly radio show. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
