AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ADDITIONAL FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES, JUVENILE DRUG COURT AND FAMILY REUNIFICATION COURT, GROUP INSURANCE COSTS AND JUDICIAL RETIREMENT CONTRIBUTIONS FOR THE THIRD JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Eight hundred eleven thousand forty-three dollars ($811,043) is appropriated from the general fund to the third judicial district court for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for the following purposes in the following amounts:

                (1) two hundred ninety-nine thousand three hundred twenty-eight dollars ($299,328) to provide salaries and benefits for a staff attorney, a human resource specialist, a network specialist, a legal assistant and a district court judicial leadworker;

                (2) four hundred thousand five hundred dollars ($400,500) to replace federal funds for juvenile drug court and family reunification court;

                (3) sixty-eight thousand dollars ($68,000) to expand family reunification court;

                (4) thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) to fund increased group insurance costs; and

                (5) eight thousand two hundred fifteen dollars ($8,215) to fund increased contributions to judicial retirement.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
