SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1___ toSENATE BILL 280, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Senator

    1. Strike all senate finance committee amendments.

    2. On page 1, line 25, strike "thirty-nine" and insert in lieu thereof "eight legislative".

    3. On page 1, line 25, after the period insert "A six-member advisory group shall assist and advise the health coverage for all New Mexicans committee.".

    4. On page 2, line 2, strike "six" and insert in lieu thereof "four".

    5. On page 2, line 3, strike "six" and insert in lieu thereof "four".

    6. On page 2, line 6 through page 3, line 17, strike Subsections C and D in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new subsection:

         "C. Six advisory members are appointed to the health coverage for all New Mexicans committee as follows:

             (1) one member who represents the business community, appointed by the governor;

             (2) one member who represents the general public, appointed by the governor;

             (3) one member who represents the health care provider industry, appointed by the governor;

             (4) the secretary of human services or the secretary's designee;

             (5) the executive director of the New Mexico health policy commission or the executive director's designee; and

             (6) the superintendent of insurance or the superintendent's designee.".

    7. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

    8. On page 3, strike lines 20 through 23 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new subsection:

         "E. From the legislative members on the health coverage for all New Mexicans committee, the speaker of the house of representatives shall name one of the house members as a co-chair and the president pro tempore of the senate shall name one of the senate members as a co-chair.".

    8. On page 6, line 4, strike "Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "Fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000)".

    9. On page 6, line 10, strike "Four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($450,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000)".
