AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PRE-KINDERGARTEN SUMMER PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN WITH SUMMER BIRTHDAYS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to fund pre-kindergarten summer programs at nine elementary schools in Albuquerque for children with summer birthdays. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
