AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND OUT-OF-COUNTY INDIGENT CARE PROVIDED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO HOSPITAL.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-one million dollars ($31,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to provide funding for care provided to indigent patients from outside of Bernalillo county at the university of New Mexico hospital. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
