AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A PSYCHIATRIC TREATMENT UNIT AT THE DONA ANA DETENTION CENTER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred seventeen thousand two hundred dollars ($517,200) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to establish and operate a psychiatric unit at the Dona Ana county detention center. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
