AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES FUND TO PROVIDE EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSING TO EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PERSONNEL.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--
A. The following amounts are appropriated from the general fund to the emergency medical services fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 and subsequent fiscal years for the following purposes:
(1) one hundred sixty thousand dollars ($160,000) for volunteer departments to provide education, training, certification and licensing to emergency services volunteers; and
(2) three hundred eighty thousand dollars ($380,000) to provide education, training, certification and licensing to emergency medical services personnel throughout the state.
B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
