AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SUPPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN SILVER CITY AND GRANT COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of western New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for the purpose of contracting with a local nonprofit corporation to promote economic development in Silver City and Grant county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
