AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE COMMISSION OF PUBLIC RECORDS TO CONTINUE THE SURVEY OF AND TO RESEARCH THE TITLE OF STATE-OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN FORMER COMMON LANDS OF COMMUNITY LAND GRANTS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Forty thousand dollars ($40,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state commission of public records for expenditure in fiscal years 2006 and 2007 to perform and contract for the services necessary to continue the survey begun in compliance with Senate Joint Memorial 10 of the first session of the forty-sixth legislature of state-owned property located within former common lands of community land grants, to continue

research on the chain of title of those properties and to provide the legislature with an estimate of the cost of completing the survey and research. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
