FOR THE COURTS, CORRECTIONS AND JUSTICE COMMITTEE

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SECOND AND ELEVENTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURTS FOR STAFF, PROGRAMS AND EQUIPMENT FOR ADULT DRUG COURTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. One million one hundred seventy thousand six hundred dollars ($1,170,600) is appropriated from the general fund to the following judicial district courts for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to replace corrections department adult drug court staff salaries and benefits, treatment programs and equipment in the following amounts:

                (1) one million sixty-five thousand six hundred dollars ($1,065,600) to the second judicial district court; and

                (2) one hundred five thousand dollars ($105,000) to the eleventh judicial district court.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
