AN ACT
MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO REPLACE FEDERAL AND GRANT FUNDS FOR DRUG COURTS AND TO EXPAND AND CREATE DRUG COURTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--
A. The following amounts are appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the courts for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for the following purposes:
(1) one million one hundred sixty thousand one hundred dollars ($1,160,100) to replace federal and other grant funds for juvenile, family and adult drug courts in the first, second, third, eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth judicial districts, for DWI court in McKinley county and for administrative support;
(2) five hundred thirty thousand eight hundred dollars ($530,800) to expand juvenile, family and adult drug courts in the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth, eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth judicial districts; and
(3) eight hundred eighty-three thousand two hundred dollars ($883,200) to add family and adult drug courts in the fourth, seventh, eighth, ninth and thirteenth judicial districts.
B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
