AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO DEVELOP A TELEMEDICINE PROGRAM TO ASSESS, DIAGNOSE AND TREAT GERIATRIC DISORDERS IN NEW MEXICO.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred sixty thousand dollars ($460,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to work with the center on aging at the university of New Mexico medical school to develop a network of community health centers in rural and small urban communities to utilize an existing program of interactive telemedicine for assessment, diagnosis and treatment of geriatric disorders. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
