AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PERINATAL HEALTH CARE FOR INDIGENT WOMEN IN DONA ANA COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to provide payment for perinatal health care services provided by physicians and certified nurse midwives for indigent women in Dona Ana county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
