AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR UNCOMPENSATED PERINATAL CARE IN DONA ANA COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal years 2007 through 2009 to provide payment of perinatal services for indigent women provided by physicians and certified nurse midwives in Dona Ana county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
