AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PLANNING FOR THE NATIONAL SOLAR OBSERVATORY AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to plan for the consolidation of the national solar observatory on the campus of New Mexico state university. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
