AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SUPPORT NATIVE AMERICAN CENTERS AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY AND THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to cover costs of Native American centers at New Mexico state university and the university of New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
