    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 69

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 11, strike "ANNUAL".

    2. On page 1, line 16 through page 2, line 8, strike Section 1 in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new section:

    "Section 1. A new section of Chapter 29, Article 6 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

    "[NEW MATERIAL] IN-SERVICE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING OF THE NEW MEXICO MOUNTED PATROL.--The board of directors of the New Mexico mounted patrol shall develop and implement an in-service law enforcement training program for members of the New Mexico mounted patrol."".

    3. On page 2, line 12, strike "to develop and implement a planned" and insert in lieu thereof "for a" and strike "annual".

    4. On page 2, line 13, after "members" insert "to be developed and implemented by the board of directors of the New Mexico mounted patrol".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
