AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE STATEWIDE DEMONSTRATION SCHOOL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to support preparation and professional development of United States and Mexico border area education administrators in the statewide demonstration school leadership program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
