AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY'S SMALL FARM INSTITUTE TO PROVIDE TEACHING, RESEARCH AND EXTENSION SERVICES TO SMALL ORGANIC FARMERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to provide teaching, research and extension services to small organic farmers by the small farm institute. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
