AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT ASSERTIVE COMMUNITY TREATMENT TEAMS IN SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to develop and implement assertive community treatment teams to provide comprehensive, community-based psychiatric treatment, rehabilitation and support to persons with mental illness in southern New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
