AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN THE SECOND JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Nine hundred thousand dollars ($900,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the judicial information division of the administrative office of the courts for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to implement an electronic document management system in the second judicial district court, contingent upon an approved, detailed project plan that includes electronic document filing and other document management functions and provided that three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) of this appropriation is allocated to the metropolitan court for coordination with the second judicial district court. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
