AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY FOR SAN MIGUEL COUNTY HOUSING OF STATE PRISONERS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred ninety-eight thousand five hundred sixty-seven dollars ($298,567) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to reimburse San Miguel county for the costs of incarcerating state prisoners in county facilities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
