AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR A LAW ENFORCEMENT YOUTH ACADEMY IN NORTHERN NEW MEXICO AND A LAW ENFORCEMENT YOUTH ACADEMY IN SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of public safety for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for a law enforcement youth academy in northern New Mexico and a law enforcement youth academy in southern New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
