AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STUDY OF AND EDUCATION ON ISSUES RELATED TO WATER RIGHTS IN THE RIO SAN JOSE BASIN.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for the Utton transboundary resources center for study of and education on issues relating to the adjudication of water rights in the Rio San Jose basin. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
