AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO STUDY WATER USE CONFLICTS IN THE ACOMA, GALLITOS AND HORACE SPRINGS AREA.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the acequia and community ditch fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for the New Mexico department of agriculture to contract for a hydrologist to identify water use conflicts in the Acoma, Gallitos and Horace Springs area. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
