AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE SANTA FE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE CRASH AND FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES FOR THE SANTA FE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to fund crash and fire protection services by the Santa Fe fire department for the Santa Fe municipal airport. The appropriation shall be used to provide salaries and benefits for five career firefighters, federal-aviation-administration- required training, personal protective firefighting gear, uniforms and associated operating expenses for the Santa Fe fire department. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
