AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CANCER PREVENTION, RESEARCH AND EDUCATION STATEWIDE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to pay for coordinated cancer prevention, research and education services supporting the department's statewide cancer plan. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
