AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MANAGEMENT AND INTERPRETIVE PLAN FOR THE TAYLOR REYNOLDS BARELA MESILLA STATE MONUMENT AND FOR THE DEDICATION OF THE MONUMENT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to develop a management and interpretive plan for the Taylor Reynolds Barela Mesilla state monument and to fund the dedication of the monument in the fall of 2006. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
