AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ADDITIONAL STAFF AT THE NEW MEXICO SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. One hundred thirty-three thousand nine hundred dollars ($133,900) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the New Mexico school for the deaf for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 in the following amounts for the following purposes:

                (1) fifty-eight thousand five hundred dollars ($58,500) for salary and benefits for an additional outreach specialist;

                (2) fifty-two thousand dollars ($52,000) for salary and benefits for an additional teacher; and

                (3) twenty-three thousand four hundred dollars ($23,400) for salary and benefits for an additional educational assistant.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
