AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR DUAL FIBER OPTIC NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four million dollars ($4,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal years 2007 and 2008 to implement dual fiber optic network infrastructure at the university of New Mexico related to the national LambdaRail project. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
