AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND INDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thirteen thousand dollars ($113,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the vocational rehabilitation division of the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to contract with centers for independent living in Lincoln and Otero counties to provide a cost-of-living adjustment, start independent living programs in those counties and support rural independent living services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
