AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE SATURDAY SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS ACADEMY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to support the Saturday science and mathematics academy mentorship program to prepare minority children in kindergarten through grade twelve for college studies. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
