AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A MARKETING DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR TRADITIONAL NEW MEXICO WEAVERS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to contract with a nonprofit cultural asset community development organization that will work with traditional New Mexico weavers to develop and implement a cooperative marketing development plan for the sale or auction of individual weavers' products in Santa Fe and the national and world markets. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
