HOUSE BILL 401

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 13, after the semicolon insert "REQUIRING THAT LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS BE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES;".

     2. On page 2, lines 11 and 12, remove the bracket and line-through.

     3. On page 2, line 12, strike "he" and insert in lieu thereof "the person".

     4. On page 2, line 12, strike "legally" and insert in lieu thereof "citizen of the United States of America.".

     5. On page 2, line 19, remove the brackets and line-through.

     6. On page 2, lines 20 through 25, and on page 3, lines 1 through 3, remove the brackets and line-through.

     7. On page 2, line 22, strike "special constables,".

     8. On page 2, line 25, after "sheriff" insert a comma.

     9. On page 3, line 1, strike "special constable,".

     10. On page 3, lines 2 and 3, strike "state of New Mexico, and" and insert in lieu thereof "United States of America.".
