AN ACT

RELATING TO CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS; LIMITING A CASH CONTRIBUTION TO NO MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. A new section of the Campaign Reporting Act is enacted to read:

     "[NEW MATERIAL] CASH CONTRIBUTION LIMIT.--A person shall not make a contribution in cash of more than one hundred dollars ($100) to a candidate or the candidate's campaign committee in an election cycle. A candidate or the candidate's campaign committee shall not accept a contribution in cash of more than one hundred dollars ($100) in an election cycle."
