AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRIES DIVISION OF THE REGULATION AND LICENSING DEPARTMENT FOR ADDITIONAL BUILDING INSPECTORS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million six hundred thousand dollars ($1,600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the construction industries division of the regulation and licensing department for expenditure in fiscal years 2007 through 2009 for eleven additional building inspectors to meet the demand for building inspectors within the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
