AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION AND TEEN PARENT PROGRAMS STATEWIDE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to fund a program in public schools around the state to provide teen pregnancy prevention, parenting and family strengthening programming and career development for teen mothers and fathers. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
