AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO REPLACE FEDERAL FUNDING FOR VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT PROGRAMS AND SERVICES IN THE SECOND JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty-six thousand one hundred dollars ($56,100) is appropriated from the general fund to the second judicial district court for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to replace federal funds for Violence Against Women Act programs and services in the second judicial district court. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
