AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH A STATE OF NEW MEXICO CERTIFICATION MARK FOR NATIVE AMERICAN ARTS AND CRAFTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the regulation and licensing department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to research and propose legislation and rules to establish a state of New Mexico certification mark to identify Native American arts and crafts products produced in New Mexico in accordance with specified standards and criteria. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
