AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN FOR DEVELOPING BEST PRACTICES AND CURRICULUM AND TRAINING FOR GENDER-SPECIFIC PROGRAMS FOR PERSONNEL SERVING INCARCERATED WOMEN AND GIRLS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the commission on the status of women for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for developing best practices and curriculum and training for gender-specific programs for personnel serving incarcerated girls and women. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
