OTHER SUBSTANTIVE ISSUES
On September 22, 2005 the Board of Finance approved an emergency appropriation to Depart-
ment of Finance and Administration for an independent fiduciary audit of Office of the State
Treasurer. (See attached scope of work.)
With recent reports that the Treasurer has resumed investment activities beyond the overnight
pool, it may be prudent for the Legislature to consider an amendment for an appropriation to the
Legislative Finance Committee to contract for investment review and oversight services and as-
sist in development of recommendations to ensure safety and proper investment of public funds.
