A MEMORIAL

REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF WEST RIM ROAD IN TAOS COUNTY.

     WHEREAS, the cost to maintain West Rim road, also known as Taos county highway B-115, far exceeds Taos county's financial ability to maintain it;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the department of transportation be requested to assume responsibility for the maintenance of West Rim road in Taos county; and

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this memorial be transmitted to the secretary of transportation.
