ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
Staff from a Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo division in the Attorney General’s office would likely
be able to provide assistance and advice to the Land Grant Interim Committee, land grant com-
munities throughout the state, and to the executive branch of government.
WHAT WILL BE THE CONSEQUENCES OF NOT ENACTING THIS BILL.
The public will continue to lack the necessary legal expertise that the Attorney General’s office
could provide in order to adequately address citizen and legislative concerns with the Treaty of
Guadalupe Hidalgo and related land grant issues
