SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 1085 repeals Sections 11-13-1 and 11-13-2 NMSA 1978, which relate to the 1997
state-tribal Indian gaming compact. Section 11-13-2 NMSA 1978 relates to the revenue sharing
of tribal gaming revenue. Under this bill, the 1997 state-tribal compact would remain in exis-
tence but would not have a place within the New Mexico Statutes.
Significant Issues
The bill clarifies that the repealed sections are to have no effect on the compacts.
