SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Education Committee Substitute for House Bill 182 appropriates $500.0 to PED to con-
tract with a science center and children’s museum.
Significant Issues
The committee substitute would contract for science education programming to supplement
school science activities, including inquiry-based educational experiences throughout the state,
overnight science experiences, classroom explorations, early childhood science programming
and professional development and curriculum materials for teachers and early childhood educa-
tors.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
House Education Committee Substitute for House Bill 182 appropriates $500.0 from the general
fund and is recurring.
