Synopsis of Bill
Senate Resolution 5 amends the Senate rules to allow Senators to designate up to 5 bills, resolu-
tions or memorials as priority legislation and placed on the calendar ahead of other legislation.
Significant Issues
A Senator may designate up to 5 bills, resolutions or memorials as priority legislation introduced
during the first 5 calendar days of a session convened in an even-numbered year or during the
first 10 calendar days of a session convened in an odd-numbered year.
RELATIONSHIP
Senate Resolution 5 relates to Senate Resolution 3 which requests the Senate consider the propo-
sition to repeal two existing laws for each law passed by the Senate.
